Puppy Information & Prices

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THE PUPPY LEAVE THE PREMISES OF EWAWKI RIVER UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHT (8) WEEKS OLD AND/OR BEFORE FULL PAYMENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED.

All puppies are sold with a purchase agreement. We offer both limited and full AKC registration to fit your livestock guardian and operation needs.

Full AKC registration with breeding rights will be to approved homes only. Only a very limited number of puppies displaying exemplary Livestock Guardian behavior and breed characteristics will be selected for Full AKC status as future breeders. We check our puppies regularly for bite development and practice stacking to assess conformation.

Limited AKC registered puppies will be sold with a spay/neuter contract in addition to the purchase agreement. Veterinary proof of spay/neuter in the form of a veterinary letter or official receipt for the puppy is required to be sent to us after completion. Once this has been received, a singular $150 reimbursement for the procedure will be returned to you.

Puppy packages include:

AKC registration application (either limited or full status) with a free 30-day health insurance package
Purchase agreement outlining health guarantees
Veterinary health exam paperwork/travel papers
Personalized health record outlining distemper-parvovirus vaccination(s), dewormings, and weights
Puppy care pack with a Heartgard dose
Copies of official OFA scores on parents
Copy of AKC pedigree for litter
5-lb bag of premium puppy food
Lifetime breeder support for LGD and training questions, concerns, general health inquiries, etc.

Puppy prices are subject to change with age after 12 weeks as the puppy gains experience and training. Older puppies will receive age-appropriate veterinary care, vaccination boosters, and continued routine deworming. All puppies come with a puppy care package, a 72-hour general health and a 24-month genetic health guarantee. Please contact ewawkiriver@gmail.com to request more information.

To Reserve Your Puppy

Ewawki River will do its best to give each puppy their "best match" based upon their personality and your operation and goals. This will ultimately set both you and the puppy up for success. Throughout the experience, we will send individual photos and videos of them interacting with each other, the livestock, and people on a weekly basis. From there, we can work together to determine which puppy will suit your needs best.

We do not attempt to match puppies to new owners until the puppies are 7+ weeks old, as we require adequate time to analyze personalities and allow our vet time to complete a thorough health exam and assessment shortly before puppies depart the farm.

We know it can be intimidating to select a puppy sight unseen. The majority of our buyers haven't met their puppy until he/she was delivered. While you are more than welcome to come visit and see our dogs/puppies, most of our buyers are too far away and trust us to help make that incredibly important decision. Our goal is to help take the worry and concern out of this process and put your mind at ease. Please see our reviews from previous puppy buyers!

How to Reserve:

First, please click HERE to view our puppy questionnaire that will need to be completed and returned to us. A $300 deposit will reserve your place in line. Breeding contracts have priority. As of the date that you notify us of your desire to place a deposit and complete a questionnaire, you will have seven (7) days to send the deposit in order to hold a puppy. If we have not received your payment within this allotted time frame, your place in line will be forfeited. Deposits are non-refundable with one exception: Should something happen to a reserved puppy with deposit received (i.e. accident, injury, or illness) while still under our care at Ewawki River, you will have first choice of other puppies at the original sale price, assuming that there are still puppies available. In the event that a deposit transfer to a different puppy is not desired or no other puppies are available, your deposit will be fully refunded.

The deposit is required in an agreed upon form of payment (i.e. PayPal, cash, personal check (if more than 10 days before pick-up), Cashier's Check, Money Order) in order to hold your puppy as "RESERVED". The deposit will hold your selected puppy until twelve (12) weeks of age. Puppies gain essential livestock guardian dog training under their parents' supervision; hence, the longer they stay, the more they will learn. You are welcome to pick up your puppy anytime between eight (8) and twelve (12) weeks. If your reserved puppy cannot be picked up by then, an additional fee of $5 per day will be charged to cover food, board and early training. The remaining balance on the puppy is due at the time of pick up.

If the puppy is over eight (8) weeks old and you would like to reserve him/her, you may notify us that you would like to reserve the puppy and pick him/her up within seven (7) days and pay in full with cash, foregoing the deposit.

We have traveled all over the country to personally deliver puppies. We do not fly our pups due to stress and risk factors. If you are far away and cannot pick up yourself, we MAY be able to meet you or deliver, depending on timing and location. Transportation costs are less than hiring a professional transporter, and we take the shortest route possible to limit stress. Costs are not included in puppy purchase price. Nobody loves our pups and will care for them like we do!
